FIDS software for regional airports
Arrivals and departures your passengers can trust, on screens your own team runs from a web browser.
Disruptions stand out
Delays, cancellations and early arrivals are easy to spot, so passengers see what has changed.
Fits your screens
Arrivals, departures or both, in landscape or portrait, paging or scrolling as your board needs.
Your look
Easily set it to your airport's logo and colors, airline logos, and city names your passengers recognize.
Your team stays in control
Correct a time, status or remark in Live Flights, and the boards update within seconds.
If the internet drops
Screens keep showing the latest information with a clear notice, and update by themselves when it returns.

Your screens. Our software.
Your airport provides
- A screen for each board, in landscape or portrait. 1080p or better is recommended.
- A computer or media player on each screen, with an up-to-date Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.
- An internet connection for each screen.
- Cabling, network and installation.
Summit provides
- The FIDS software, running in the cloud, with nothing to install at the airport.
- Live flight data from a commercial flight-data provider.
- Setup, remote training and software updates.
- Summit Standard Support, with a 24/7 response objective for urgent issues.
A quick screen check tells you whether a device is ready before go-live. After that, your staff run the boards day to day in Live Flights.
From your current boards to Summit
Airports usually replace a FIDS when the vendor stops supporting it, the computers behind the boards wear out, or the contract is ending. Summit sets everything up remotely, and you go live in weeks, on your schedule.
Set up
Summit sets up your airport and its flight data remotely, in days.
Connect
Your team connects each screen, and it pairs with a one-time code.
Test and train
Together we check every screen and train your staff, remotely.
Go live
On the day you choose, we watch your screens and flight data throughout, then check in daily for the first week.
Planning a replacement? Our FIDS replacement checklist covers what to gather, what to ask every vendor and how to switch without losing a screen.
What Summit FIDS does
Summit FIDS is a flight information display system for regional and small-hub airports. Your arrivals and departures boards open Summit in a web browser, flight data arrives automatically from a commercial flight-data provider, and nothing is installed at the airport. Your staff correct any time, gate or remark in Live Flights, and every board updates within seconds.
It works with the rest of Summit. When your team changes a flight, the same change reaches your gate screens (GIDS), baggage claim screens (BIDS) and ramp screens (RIDS). GIDS and BIDS are included with every subscription; RIDS is optional.
Questions airports ask about FIDS
What is a FIDS?
A flight information display system (FIDS) is the set of arrivals and departures boards in a terminal. Summit FIDS shows each flight's airline, city, scheduled and estimated times, gate, baggage claim and status, and highlights delays, cancellations and diversions.
Can we use our existing screens?
Yes. Any screen connected to a computer or media player with an up-to-date Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser can show Summit FIDS, in landscape or portrait. A quick screen check tells you whether a device is ready. A 1080p screen or better is recommended, and each board fits as many rows as the screen allows.
Where does the flight information come from?
From a commercial flight-data provider, refreshed automatically throughout the day. When your team knows something first, they can change any time, gate, claim, status or remark in Live Flights.
What if a screen loses its internet connection?
It keeps showing the latest flights with a clear notice, and catches up by itself when the connection returns. Summit is alerted if a screen stays offline during its normal hours.
How long does it take to replace our current FIDS?
Summit sets everything up remotely in days, and you go live in weeks, on your schedule. There is no site visit.
