Summit BIDS shows arriving passengers which carousel has their bags, alongside your airport's welcome message and rotating announcements or advertisements. Claims come from the flight data, and when your team changes one in the Summit portal, the claim screens update straight away.

Questions airports ask about BIDS

What is a BIDS?

A baggage information display system (BIDS) is the set of screens in the baggage claim hall that show which flights' bags arrive on each carousel. Summit BIDS shows each arriving flight on the screen for its claim.

Can we change a flight's baggage claim?

Yes. Change it in Live Flights and the claim screens update within seconds.

Can the screens show our own messages?

Yes. Set your airport's welcome message and rotating announcements or advertisements in the portal.

What screens do we need?

Any screen connected to a computer or media player with an up-to-date Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, landscape or portrait. Text is large and easy to read across a busy hall, and there is no Summit hardware to buy.
